My classroom has become my second home and I take a lot of pride in it. As a teacher the learning environment is so important and I really want my students to take ownership. Tonight was our open house, so the room was clean and organized. It is an added perk that I am at a brand new school so everything is nice and new. Sadly, I only had 7 of my 20 students show up for open house. Unfortunately parent support is not huge and it is evident on nights like tonight. Still I can't help but look at my class and smile. The students have worked so hard and the growth has been so amazing. I am a proud "mama!"
