I celebrated Earth Day with my class by releasing our butterflies, making butterfly hats, planting a seed, reading the Lorax, and eating dirt pudding. It was a good day teaching my students the importance of taking care of the Earth and what could happen if we neglect where we live. The students had so much fun releasing the butterflies that we watched grow since caterpillars and the pudding was a hit. It is nice step away from the constant academic push and expose our students to more. It was a really fun day!
