100 First graders and a movie theater, fun times. Today we took 5 first grade classes to see Disney's Planet Earth. The kids did pretty good. I think the movie was a little too long to hold their attention, but they hung in there. Mostly, I love the chance to give students a new experience. Getting away from school and doing something fun is always a highlight. My students do not have easy lives and it is good to see their excitement. An added perk is Rob met us at the movies to help chaperon. I think my students love him more than me sometimes. He is such an unbelievably huge help and I am so fortunate to have his support. After the movie we had a picnic at a park before heading back to school. It was a good day!
