July 28 DVD

Today was my first official day back at work. While I was busy doing prep work, Lydia came by with a DVD. She has been telling me the last couple days how she made a DVD of our family using pictures from FB and she was soooo excited for me to see it. As I stood there watching this DVD I was totally crying. She used passages form "My 'Picture Perfect' Life," with currant pictures and put it to the song "How Great is Our God." When I wrote "My 'Picture Perfect' Life," Luke was only three months old. So much has changed since then. A couple weeks after I submitted that to be published Luke's seizures started. I had no way of knowing how difficult the next couple years was going to be. As I listened to the words of the songs, read the words, and looked at pictures of my family I was so overwhelmed. Despite the difficulties I stand by what I wrote: "Rylee, Jake and Luke are going to make a difference in this world. They have already impacted so many people in their short lives, and I have no doubt great things are in store for them. No, when I imagined my life I never dreamed about a really 'scary' disorder known as TSC, but my life would not be complete without it. I now realize I do have the 'picture perfect' life, and it gets better every day!" Thank God for incredible friends!
