Smiles

Life happens and you learn quickly that you have NO control. God has a plan and it is your job to follow it no matter what. Sometime you want to scream "It's too much!" and sometimes you want to cry, but sometimes you just want to be reminded of the gifts God allows you. It has been extremely hectic around here and there are NO signs of it slowing down. As I juggle a shared contract and trying to be home more I feel like I am being yanked in two directions and neither side is winning. Then there is the constant worry of Luke and his seizures, and Jake starting to have seizures again. While dealing with the medical I also have to deal with the emotional as Ry is struggling with focus at school and my sis continues in her custody issues to do what is best for my niece. These are all those situations in life that I have NO CONTROL over. So Rob and I decided to search for the smiles. We wanted to take the kids to Disneyland to see the Fall decorations and actually planned on going tomorrow. But, once again life happened and Ry's practise was changed from today to tomorrow. So we decided to be flexible and go today. The weather was a little worrisome as we watched the rainclouds rolling in during the drive. But God knew we needed to see those smiles today. By the time we got to Disneyland the weather was beautiful and we had a great few hours forgetting those issues that we could not control and just enjoying the gift of eachother. Those smiles carry me through anything!
