It was a long first week back at work and I was in need of some family time. I often don't leave work until after 5, especially on Fridays, because there is so much to get done in my class. So I met Rob and the kids at Sizzler to kick off a family date night. The thing I love about Sizzler is that it is really kid friendly. Going out to eat with Jake and Luke is getting more and more difficult. Jake can have a screaming melt down at the drop of the hat and Luke likes to hear his own voice screaming. Sizzler is a winner for two reasons: one it is a noisy restaurant and two, salad bar gets us in and out quickly, hopefully avoiding the melt down. After dinner we headed to the Super Target to walk around. The kids liked looking around and it wore everyone out enough that they were ready for bed when we got home. It was a nice break for Rob to get out of the house and allow us to spend some time together without too many complications.
