July 10 Vacation

Rob went golfing with his cousins this morning, so it was up to me to get me and the kids ready and safely to the campground in time for rock painting. To add to the stress, God opened up the skies and let loose. On the way down, it poured and when we got to the campground just getting out of the car drenched us all. Needless to say Rob did not get to finish golf and we all met up in time for rock painting.

The kids had a blast painting rocks and God decided we had enough water and the sun came out. Everything quickly began to dry and the outdoor fun began. Lu decided he was still tired so Aunt Pearl held him for awhile.

After lunch, Rob and I took the kids back to Pearl's for a nap. All three slept for about three hours, so the hope was that the night would go smoother.
Ry and I went on a "field trip" to the Cordova Tower to see a spectacular view of the lake. Although, I was exhausted climbing the stairs to the top, the sight was worth it. God really is a master artist :-).

By the end of the night Jake had once again hit his limit. More family arrived and Jake just didn't know what to do with himself. I ended up bringing the boys back to Pearl's early so Rob could spend some more time with family and Ry could play with Tommy. It has been truly amazing seeing and meeting all the family. I have gotten to meet people I have sent Christmas cards to for years and friends that I have made on facebook and it has been an incredible experience. The fact that we have been able to do as much as we have and that the kids have lasted are miracles in themselves. As amazing as this experience has been I have been feeling pretty beat. It will definitely be nice to go home.
