July 3 Vacation

Today was another great day on the road. After we got up and moving, coffee was the top priority. Once we had the coffee we hit the open road. After the kids being so good yesterday, I expected there to be more meltdowns today. But, to our surprise, today went even smoother. We did try and stop more to let the kids out of the car and stretch, but they all three did so fabulous. When we told people that we had decided to drive to Iowa, many were surprised and said “good luck.” Today just confirmed that Rob and I made the right choice. We drove across Colorado and saw some of the most spectacular scenery that God created, and ended up in Lincoln, Nebraska. We have a much shorter drive to our final destination tomorrow so we will see if the kids’ good attitudes hold up.

I am just excited to get online. I should be asleep right now instead of typing to a beat of snoring kids (1:00 am Nebraska time).
